About Us
"Beauty to the Block" is a beauty and wellness company as well as a non-profit organization located in Trenton, NJ. The business aims to provide general information about its mission and activities and is dedicated to providing support and services to the community. The non-profit organization exists to equip and empower those in need to discover and display the beauty within through needs-based services and innovative events. The organization's primary focus is on serving neighbors in need and the youth in the community by providing needs-based services and innovative events. These services include personal care, hair grooming, food, health screenings, mental health and addiction recovery resources, as well as youth-based programs and mentorship. The organization also collaborates with local homelessness organizations to address homelessness and provide necessities. "Beauty to the Block" is motivated by a strong sense of purpose to create a supportive community that fosters self-esteem and self-worth, ultimately aiming to build a more compassionate and inclusive society.

We employ a holistic approach that addresses basic necessities, teaches life skills, and utilizes collaborative resources. Through our approach, we seek to provide restorative healing to the greater Trenton area, one person at a time.

Once a young girl living in a shelter in the heart of Trenton, New Jersey, Diane Bellamy weathered the storms of adversity and emerged as a beacon of hope for her community. Her personal journey from a place of need to a position of empowerment embodies the very spirit of resilience and determination that fuels Beauty To The Block Inc. Her organization was founded in Trenton NJ in 2022.
Diane knows firsthand the challenges of urban life and the barriers that often hinder those in need from accessing crucial resources. Her experiences have fueled her unwavering commitment to creating a brighter and more beautiful future for her neighbors through needs based services, innovative empowerment events, and strategic community partnerships.
Diane's journey began in the heart of Trenton, a city brimming with vibrant culture and rich history, but also plagued by violence, economic disparities, and social challenges. Growing up, she faced hardships that often come with living in poverty, including unstable housing and limited family support. Despite these obstacles, Diane remained determined to break free from the cycle of poverty that engulfed her community. Motivated by her unrelenting faith in God, she began serving hungry neighbors free hot meals from her two bedroom apartment. Eventually, her efforts evolved from serving meals to giving away gently used household items, offering prayer, and other spiritual support for those in need on a monthly basis.
Through resilience, hard work, and unwavering optimism, Diane overcame her circumstances and used her painful past for the purpose of giving hope to other people. She pursued higher education by securing a cosmetology certification at Empire Beauty School in Bordentown NJ. She worked tirelessly, and eventually realized her vision of becoming a successful cosmetologist and multi-entrepreneur. In 2017 she opened her own business, In His Image Hair Studio. This was not just a personal accomplishment, it was a symbol of hope and possibility for others in her community. She knew that her success was not meant to be kept to herself, but rather to serve as a source of inspiration and empowerment for her neighbors in need.
With a deep understanding of the challenges faced by the residents of Trenton, Diane recognized the urgent need for a proactive and transformative approach to making a difference in her community. Armed with firsthand knowledge and a heart full of empathy, she founded Beauty to the Block which is dedicated to meeting the unique needs of her neighbors and building a more vibrant, resilient community from the ground up.
